What ROI & impact means

ROI & impact is a defensible evidence trail, not automatic causal attribution. It records business outcomes and the moves, battlecards, or messaging that people believe influenced them, so product marketing can show its contribution without claiming certainty the data cannot support.

02

Create an outcome manually

  1. 1

    Open ROI & impact.

  2. 2

    Choose Add outcome.

  3. 3

Enter the outcome type, company or deal label, value, date, state, and useful context.

  4. 4

    Save the outcome.

  5. 5

From a move, battlecard, or messaging entry, choose Add to outcome and select it.

  6. 6

Review the outcome detail and remove evidence that no longer belongs.

03

Imported HubSpot outcomes

HubSpot outcomes retain the deal name, amount, currency, dates, open/won/lost state, pipeline and stage context, and a direct HubSpot link when available. Matching depends on the deal’s competitor property and your current watchlist.

04

Interpret metrics carefully

  • Influenced value is not the same as revenue caused by SoWhatHQ.
  • A linked item shows documented involvement, not exclusive credit.
  • Use notes and multiple evidence items to explain the chain of influence.
  • Review old outcomes when deal states or attribution understanding change.
