Why positioning matters

Your positioning is the context used to judge why a competitor move matters to you. Without it, analysis can still describe the market; with it, recommendations can address your audience, strengths, differentiators, and approved narrative.

02

Create or edit positioning

  1. 1

    Open Positioning.

  2. 2

Add your target audience, problem, category, value proposition, differentiators, proof, and any language to avoid.

  3. 3

Or choose Generate from site to create an editable first draft from your public website.

  4. 4

Review every generated field for accuracy.

  5. 5

Save the approved version and revisit it when strategy changes.

03

Respond to positioning drift

A drift alert appears when a competitor move may undercut or overlap your stated positioning. Open the evidence, decide whether the threat is real, and update positioning or downstream messaging only when the evidence changes your strategic view.
